When growing up, Cierra had a pit bull who she absolutely adored. That’s why she’s always been confident about getting one of her own some day. It’s no wonder, then, that when she laid eyes on the adorable Nilla, it was “love at first sight.”
Unable to leave the pup, she took her home. Although it took Nilla a while to warm up to her new Mom, before she knew it, she had taken over the house – in the best way possible. Whenever Cierra puts on makeup to get ready for the day, Nilla becomes whiny – and not just because she wants Mom’s attention. Rather, she’s upset that she isn’t getting a makeover of her own. With this realization, Cierra decided it was about time her sweet pup got some makeup. At least that’s what she lets Nilla think!
“One day, she would not leave me alone about the mascara,” Cierra said. “She’s right there, whining, crying — she immediately demands more. I’ll bend down and pretend like I’m doing her makeup.”

With her adorable little “chomps” and “yelling in lowercase,” Nilla has mastered the art of getting whatever she wants. Luckily, Cierra doesn’t mind at all. She considers her dog to be just like a best friend, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
“There’s such a negative stereotype that comes with the word ‘pit bull’ but I think that she can teach people that they’re so lovable,” Cierra said. “I hands down made the best decision ever getting her. To me, she means everything.”
