Jeannie Kliesiewicz was a long-time fan of the Ellen Degeneres Show but just didn’t have luck on her side.
After spending six years entering every single contest on the show, she had nothing to show for it. Zilch. But she hit the jackpot on Aug. 27, 2008, when Ellen herself called to confirm that she still hadn’t won anything… but if she wanted a job, she could join the Ellen crew! Kliesiewicz jumped at the chance.
For the next seven years, Kliesiewicz was no longer just a fan of Ellen, she was her employee! The years were filled with adventures from interviewing guests to pulling off outrageous surprises and undercover assignments.
And it was all because Ellen and her crew had just fallen in love with Kliesiewicz’s sweet and adorable personality.
In 2015, during a week-long celebration of the show’s 2000th episode, Ellen brought an unsuspecting Kliesiewicz on stage to watch a montage of some of those experiences. But Ellen saved the best for last, paying Kliesiewicz back for all the fast ones she’d pulled on guests over the years with one of her own.
“You are so good at what you do, and you make so many people happy,” she said before revealing what was in store: a part in 2016’s “Grease Live,” starring Julianne Hough and Aaron Tveit!
