This cellist impressed the judges on "America's Got Talent."

BJ Griffin turned in his high school football career for a shot at becoming a musician, and he hasn’t looked back! On last Tuesday’s episode of “America’s Got Talent,” the 34-year-old wowed everyone with his electric cello cover of Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.” While judges were surprised by his choice of instrument, they were even more shocked when they heard his incredible voice! BJ received a standing ovation for his performance.

“I’m done holding myself back,” the cellist said, when Sofia Vergara asked what made him want to audition. “So, I came on to win ‘AGT’ and achieve my dream of sharing healing through my music with with the world.”

“I’ve always wanted to be a musician,” he added. “Actually, in high school, I quit football so that I could be a musician. It was a hard decision.”
