Oftentimes, healthcare workers don’t get the recognition they deserve.

Apart from saving lives on a daily basis, healthcare workers have to sacrifice many things in order to take care for us – for example, their family time.

A video posted by TikTok user “Kim R” shows just a little of what that sacrifice looks like by using her husband as an example.

The beginning of the video shows the husband getting ready for work so early, it’s still pitch black outside. Although the father is not able to help get his kids ready for school or even say good morning to them due to his early schedule, he still finds a way to make them feel loved and special every day.

“He stays up drawing pictures on their lunch napkins,” she wrote. “A special picture for each kid.”

From cute puppy drawings to funny avocados, this dad spends his nights drawing all sorts of characters that his kids get to enjoy during lunch at school.

“They may just be drawings on napkins to most people…” the mom wrote. “But they are so much more than that to my kids.”

This dad might not be able to kiss his kids goodbye when they leave for school or help them get dressed in the morning, but his drawings say it all: He loves his kids with all his heart!

Thank you to all healthcare workers who sacrifice their family time to take care for us. We appreciate you.
