Are you prepared to witness an awe-inspiring celestial event this weekend? Tomorrow, an annular solar eclipse will create a radiant halo in the sky, often described as a ring of fire. It’s caused by the moon passing in front of the sun and partially blocking it from Earth’s view. Unlike a total eclipse, this type of event allows us to see the outline of the sun peeking out from behind the moon as their paths cross.

If you want to watch this spectacular phenomenon, you’re going to need special eyewear. Even behind the moon, the sun will still be way too bright to look at! According to NASA, ordinary sunglasses are not a viable substitute for eclipse glasses.
