Anna is a rescue pup. Although her DNA says she is probably a pittie mix, you might believe her bio, which claims she is a seal. Anna likes a lot of things, including blankies and treats. But one thing tops the list of this dog’s favorites, and that is a visit from her grandma.

When she isn’t expecting it, the visit is even more special. Anna’s reaction is immediate. When the dog realizes that Grandma is there, she sits up with a comically surprised expression. She starts whining excitedly with happy little sounds. When Grandma says “Hello,” Anna starts dancing happily, spinning around with barely-contained excitement.

In an attempt to appear calm and “cool,” Anna lays down with her tail wagging. That lasted mere seconds as Grandma entered the frame and reached out to offer some loving. Anna offered kisses while Grandma gave her some head rubs. Then Anna couldn’t control the excitement anymore, jumping up and spinning again.

When Anna’s mom asked, “Is that Grandma?” the dog responded with an audible “Yeah!” She did her best to contain her excitement, but it wasn’t easy. Her excited spins and flops were hilarious. When Grandma moved to a different room, Anna was following closely on her heels. They returned to the sofa for more scritches, tail wags, and happy yips.

Grandma sat beside the dog, offering a lasting supply of pets and loving coos. It took Anna a while to calm down after the surprise visit. She was so happy to see her Grandma. Anyone seeing this excited dog can tell Grandma is one of her favorite humans. There is no love like a Grandma’s love.

Please share if you’ve experienced the unconditional love of a dog.
