Deaf Baby Won’t Stop Wailing, Then Hears Mom’s Voice For The First Time.

We’re warning you– grab the tissues now.

Mom Alison Potts was born with a genetic hearing disorder –Waardenburg syndrome — and unknowingly passed it on to 3 of her 8 children. The condition is rare and characterized by varying degrees of deafness as well as a white strip of hair, skin pigmentation loss, and in some cases a cleft lip or pallet.

Alison’s youngest, Ellianna, was one of those children born deaf and was unable to hear her own mother’s voice.

Recently, Alison had custom hearing aids made for her young daughter. She captured the heartwarming moment her sweet baby hears her voice for the first time in the video below.

Her reaction is truly beautiful.
