There’s hardly anything fun about traffic. Honking, road rage, being late for everything – it’s all generally bad. For traffic cops, it’s usually not a walk in the park, either.
Directing cars in one direction or another for hours can be really monotonous work. But then there are officers like this one, who are absolutely determined to make their jobs as fun as possible.

It’s unclear where exactly the below video was taken, but it’s a pretty universally funny sight to see. In the footage, giggling onlookers watch as a very eager Japanese traffic cop shows off some pretty epic moves while directing cars.

He shakes his hips, gets his arms going, and flamboyantly points the way he wants each car to go.
His moves look like they belong in a dance club or exercise class, not on a busy road, but motorists don’t seem to mind – and why should they? What better way to get through traffic than with a little show!

Although most of the cars follow his orders without missing a beat, at least one driver is slightly confused by the display. (Or maybe they just want to go against the grain like the dancing cop?)
It’s hard to know whether the traffic officer was merely trying to make his job more fun, or if he was hoping to put smiles on the faces of drivers, but we’re pretty sure he managed to do both.
