UGA Cheerleaders Bring Dads Onto Court For Adorable Father-Daughter Routine.

Dads are known for their cheesy puns and one-liners, but here’s a lesser-known fact: They have moves too!

For the Dance Dawgs, the University of Georgia’s spirit squad, cheering has become more than an extracurricular activity. In January, it was also an adorable way for them to bond with their fathers! As part of an annual tradition, they brought their dads onto the court for a father-daughter routine that left the crowd roaring!

This year, the dance took place during one of the school’s basketball games.

In a video, we see that it starts out as a sentimental routine set to Randy Newman’s “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” with slow steps and plenty of twirls. Then, as the music changes to hip-hop, they heat up the dance floor… together!

Not only do the dads prove they can keep up with their daughters, but also that they can tear it up!

What’s even more impressive is their willingness to participate in front of so many people. We have to assume that at least one of them felt a little out of their element here. Still, each of them practiced for hours, knowing it would make their daughters’ day!

The sweet display of fatherly love had people cheering in and out of the stands. In fact, footage of the dance has touched thousands of hearts online!

“This is amazing,” one viewer wrote on Facebook. “Love parents getting involved.” Another added, “Absolutely love this! Every school should do it.”

The best summary of our feelings can be found in this comment: “Well done! Those dads and daughters will remember this moment forever.”

You go, dads! You’ve proven yourselves to be great dancers and even better fathers. Your daughters are lucky to have you!
