Starbucks has been getting some extra attention lately, and it is well-deserved! It all started when Dallin Smuin, who is deaf, posted a video of his drive-thru experience on TikTok. In it, he praises a barista named Brianna Roth, who made it possible for him to give his order via American Sign Language. Having an employee know ASL was wonderful in and of itself, but Dallin was especially excited to video in his order through a digital menu board!
After he got his drink, Dallin declared himself a “forever customer” because of the amazing experience! While not every Starbucks location is equipped with this inclusive technology yet, we’re thrilled to see they’re making steps to reach every customer. Hopefully, these digital menu boards are something companies everywhere start implementing as well!
