Alana Johnston had no idea what her innocent inquiry on Ancestry.com was going to mean for her family, but it changed their lives forever!
She headed to the website originally because she “just wanted to see what my heritage was.” Instead, she found three women whose DNA was incredibly close to her own.
The women turned out to be her father’s sisters – ones he had never met and didn’t even know existed! Delighted, the siblings made a trip to visit Alana’s dad in Costa Rica, and what a joyous first meeting it was!
This was the most heartwarming moment I may have ever witnessed. They have embraced and loved us since the day I reached out to them and we have loved them back. I hope this gives you the warm fuzzies and makes you smile… or cry. Both are good. Life is beautiful. Big love.
