Parents are known for pulling off some of the most incredible feats in order to make their kids happy, and Mason Smith is no exception. After a trip to the fair, his daughter couldn’t stop talking about the fun train she rode. Soon enough, this gave Mason the inspiration to create his own version of the ride. To make his vision a reality, he went to a local hardware store and got to work!
Here, he gathered supplies like large barrels, pipes, and furniture dollies. With some careful cutting and his imagination, Mason transformed the barrels into fun seats for the kiddos — with plastic steering wheels and googly eyes on the front, of course. The dollies were turned into wheels, all of which were connected to a tractor that allowed him to safely transport the kids all over.
“If I was going to build this again I’d definitely change a couple things, but it didn’t stop the kids from having the time of their lives and taking rides on it until dark!” Mason shared on TikTok. “We gave some of the tractor trains away to friends and now have a fun short train to pull around our property. I’d say it was well worth the build time for the memories that were made.”
