When this woman sat down to announce that the stray cat she’d been taking care of was pregnant, she wasn’t expecting the animal to actually give birth on camera! However, while Ashley Kinney filmed herself telling the story of how her kids found Skye, the kitty started getting extra cuddly. As she told her followers that she was “99% sure” the cat was about to have babies, something happened that removed all doubt. Skye’s water broke right in the woman’s lap!

Ashley had known something was going on the moment she got home that day. According to her post, Skye usually wasn’t that snuggly. When the mom noticed the stray cat being more affectionate than usual, she figured the animal would give birth soon. She thought it would be cute to share her kitty’s pregnancy journey online. Little did she know, she’d be sharing a lot more than that!
Once Skye’s water broke, Ashley said that she could feel her “pushing.” That’s when the woman became certain that the stray cat was about to give birth at any moment. She provided the animal with a towel in order to make her more comfortable.
“I was just gonna make a cute video,” Ashley said, stroking the cat. “But you’re gonna have babies, huh?”
Although the woman stayed close for moral support, she basically let nature take its course. Obviously, she didn’t show the entire birthing process on camera. Instead, she skipped to right after the first kitten was born. It was so tiny and precious!
In an update video, Ashley shared some footage of the proud mama snuggling with all of her kittens. This little family looked so peaceful and happy as they napped together! Many commenters were thrilled to hear that this woman was planning to give the babies up for adoption. It sounds like there are plenty of people clamoring to give these cuties a great home!
It’s pretty amazing that this stray cat instinctively sought out her human friend when it was time to give birth. Skye probably knew that Ashley would look out for her and her little ones!
