Growing up on the grounds of an incredible zoo sounds like something out of a children’s book, but it’s reality for celebrity baby Grace Warrior.
Grace is the daughter of Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell. Her granddad was none other than the late Steve Irwin, otherwise known as the Crocodile Hunter! The adorable little girl recently celebrated her first birthday, and Bindi’s pictures of her on Instagram are making people smile on multiple continents.
Bindi and Chandler both work with the Irwin family at the Australia Zoo, a 700-acre zoo located on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia. As a result, little Grace practically lives on the grounds, surrounded by exotic animals from all over the world.
In a recent video Bindi shared on Instagram, Grace took her first steps right there in the Australia Zoo gardens. Her little face is just too cute, isn’t it? Look how happy she is!
“Big moment,” Bindi wrote as a caption. You can hear Chandler cheering little Grace on from behind the camera. It’s such a precious and intimate moment, and there’s little wonder why this family is so beloved even years after Steve’s untimely passing.
Bindi recently disclosed that Grace Warrior is named after an expression that her grandfather was fond of using: “Wildlife Warrior.”
“My dad was the first person to create the term ‘Wildlife Warrior,'” Bindi explained. “Being a ‘Wildlife Warrior’ means to stand up and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. We’ve been referring to our daughter as our ‘Baby Wildlife Warrior.”
It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since Bindi and Chandler welcomed their first baby! We have no doubt that this cutie will grow into her name. How could she not? She’s part Croc Hunter!
