Although it would still be a while before Nancy’s granddaughter gave birth, there was one more surprise in store for the elderly woman. The mom-to-be had come up with an adorable way to reveal her baby’s gender to the 102-year old grandma. She handed Nancy a scratch-off card which would let her know if the new child was going to be a boy or a girl.
It took Grandma a little while to scratch off enough of the card to reveal the baby’s gender. In fact, a family member had to step in and finish it off for her. However, once the much-anticipated word was uncovered, the elderly woman was overcome with joy.
“Oh, it’s a boy!” she exclaimed.
Great-grandma couldn’t have been more thrilled.
Nancy was so moved by the news of her granddaughter’s pregnancy, she gave the reveal card an affectionate kiss.
“You don’t know how happy this makes me,” said the great-grandmother-to-be.
