Craig and Bryanna were living the “American dream” when they decided to leave it all behind.
Life was good for the high school sweethearts and their four children, Carson, Melia, Cannon, and Knox. Craig had a good job, Bryanna enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom, and they had the house of their dreams. But something was missing, and the road was calling.
Bryanna said she started to feel suffocated by the humdrum routine of cleaning, shopping, and maintaining the house and yard. She and Craig wanted more out of life – and found it while researching RV living.
They came across other families who were traveling on the road full-time and knew this was the life for them!
At that point, the couple had already planned to homeschool their kids. So in 2014, they sold their possessions and set out on a new adventure.
“The biggest thing that kept pushing us forward was this desire to have more family time, to have more freedom, and to be able to really get out and see all these amazing places that the world has to offer,” Bryanna wrote in Crazy Family Adventure, her blog.
The hardest part of moving into an RV was saying goodbye to their home. Many tears were shed, but it was all worthwhile.
The best part was that Bryanna’s sister and her crew decided to join them! After selling their houses and buying separate RVs, the two families set up their new homes next to each other at an RV resort.
Six years later, Bryanna said they could never go back to their old life. Both Craig and Bryanna run their own businesses from the RV, and they’ve since upgraded to a seriously cozy trailer!
So far, they’ve traveled to 24 states, Canada, and Mexico! While RV life isn’t always easy, they have discovered a freedom they never knew when they downsized their lives.
Plus, the views are pretty spectacular!
