Coast Guard Performs The Most Tender CPR To Save Life Of Drowning Kitten.

coast guard performs CPR on kitten

It’s not every day that you get to see a human giving an animal mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. But a member of the Italian coast guard had to do just that when he found a drowning kitten. who gave the tiny feline mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

The creature was drowning and appeared to be lifeless as it floated in the waters off the shore of Sicily, Italy. Children who were playing on the port side in Marsala told the Italian coast guard about the kitten. One selfless sailor dove into the water and pulled the feline on board.

The Italian coast guard began procedures you would normally see performed on humans. Mouth-to-mouth resuscitation appeared to be working and after a few minutes, the kitten began to show signs of life, coughing up water and meowing.

The officers took the kitten to the port, dried it off and called a veterinarian to check on him. The vet deemed the kitten to be in good health. They took such a shining to the brave little cat that he has since been ‘adopted’ by the Marsala maritime district office.
They named him Charlie.
