Anyone who has ever spent time around horses knows that even though they’re large in size, they can be incredibly gentle under the right circumstances.

Emma Dunn was just 2-years-old when her dad Justin Dunn uploaded a sweet video to YouTube that warmed the hearts of everyone who saw it. Emma was walking along a country road near the family’s ranch in Guffey, Colorado, holding the reins of her best friend, a Mustang called Cinnamon.

Not only does Emma look simply adorable in her little snow suit and hat, but when she finds herself tangled in Cinnamon’s reins, it’s the horse’s loving reaction that had everyone on the web talking.

Instead of tugging and risking injuring the little girl, the gentle mare bows her head and waits patiently for her to untangle herself. Many horses would have taken the opportunity to run off, but Cinnamon demonstrates the kind soul of an animal who feels genuine love for her human family.

Emma’s dad Justin is a professional horse trainer, so Emma has clearly grown up being very comfortable around large animals. According to Justin, Emma and Cinnamon share a special connection that doesn’t happen every day.

“These two had, and still have a special bond,” Justin wrote on Facebook. “Cinnamon Girl LOVES her Emma.”
