Christie Brinkley shared a heartbreaking update on Instagram following the death of her dear friend Ruper Keegan. Christie and Rupert had a friendship for 45 years. She called him a “character” who made her life “so much fun.” Rupert passed away after a long battle with cancer in September 2024. Following a recent memorial service on June 5, Christie took the time to share photos and memories of her dear friend.

Christie Brinkley Adored Rupert Keegan
Christie Brinkley beamed as she spoke of her love for her dear friend. She dedicated her post to his memory. She also shared the story of her friendship in her book Uptown Girl: A Memoir.
“There was a beautiful Memorial in London, England for my dear friend Race car driver Rupert Keegan yesterday. I couldn’t go but I sent this little clip…and since many of you may know Rupert through his racing career, and many of you who read my book also now know a little bit about both the very proper gentleman writer @simongaul and Rupert the charismatic devilish rogue with a heart of gold I thought I would share So this is for all of the new and old fans friends and family as we remember Rupert with everlasting love,” she wrote.
“What a devoted friend.., thank you for sharing about Rupert … you keep his spirit alive by sharing with us all .. what a wonderful person,” a fan wrote.
