Brother Steps Up To Take Little Sister To Father-Daughter Dance When Dad Doesn’t Show.

Any kid would be lucky to have a brother as thoughtful as Christian Hamerter.

Not only is the 11-year-old from Covington, Georgia, a fantastic role model to his sister Skylar, but he would also do anything to make her happy. That’s why he made sure the 7-year-old had a blast at her father-daughter dance – no matter what.

In the days leading up to the dance in February, it was all Skylar could talk about. Her mom Trelysia, on the other hand, was growing more and more anxious. Despite promising to be there, Skylar’s dad hadn’t shown up at last year’s dance, and now Trelysia couldn’t get a hold of him.

Unfortunately, she was right to be worried. On the big day, Skylar was devastated when her dad didn’t show up.

“She cried because she had her heart set on going,” her mom wrote in a Facebook post. “I felt so bad because there was nothing I could do.”

That’s when Christian intervened!

“Her big brother stepped in and said he’d take her because he wanted his sister to know that she deserves a man keeping his word and making her feel special. Y’all I literally cried,” Trelysia said. “Just know that I’m raising someone a GREAT HUSBAND one day.”

While Skylar missed her dad, she had a blast with Christian! Even better, now she knows she can always count on him, which brings their proud mom plenty of joy.

We have no doubt Christian will grow up to be a kind man – and an amazing father! After all, he’s already proving himself to be one of the world’s best friends.
