Apple Martin, the daughter of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and actress Gwyneth Paltrow, has some pretty incredible talent. The Vanderbilt University student may be the spitting image of her mother, but she definitely hopes to sing like her father. According to an article in the Vanderbilt Hustler, Apple took the stage at Cannery Hall on October 17 to perform with her friends’ band, Jade Street. If that wasn’t a cool enough surprise for fans at the venue, they noticed her dad was in the audience to support his baby girl.

Apple Martin May Not Be Quite As Good As Chris Martin
According to TMZ, the crowd at Cannery Hall had mixed reactions to the performance. Some thought Apple Martin did well, and others felt like Chris Martin’s talent didn’t quite trickle down the way she thinks it did. A woman named Gwendolyn Elizabeth caught the performance and shared a TikTok video. She captioned her post, “This is what living in Nashville is like btw!! This was sooo much fun!!”
The TikTok text reads, “It’s not every day you see Chris Martin’s daughter surprise the audience in Nashville.”
Some gave Apple Martin credit for getting up in front of a crowd, including her superstar dad, Chris Martin.
“Sounds like she can’t hear her monitor at first. She finds her notes,” a comment reads.
“I think it is important to remember that if she’s new to signing in front of a crowd, it’s really a skill to be comfortable, find your notes, and not be so nervous. I doubt anyone would be so bold to her face,” another person noted.
