Chipotle Fans Rejoice! A Cult Favorite is Back

Chipotle Chicken al Pastor

We all have our go-to orders at our favorite restaurants. Sometimes we go to restaurants specifically for one item. When that item disappears, it’s like losing one of our best friends. But if we collectively beg and plead, we might get the items back. Think KFC and potato wedges or McDonald’s and the Snack Wrap. This time, Chipotle heard the cries of fans and announced that its famed Chicken al Pastor is back. This subtly spicy protein is a must for chicken fans, and those in the know can’t wait to order.

Chipotle Rewards Members Get Chicken al Pastor First

Chipotle announced that rewards members can order Chicken al Pastor on February 9, one day ahead of the nationwide launch.

“Chipotle’s Chicken al Pastor is back, and it’s fire on every level. Chicken al Pastor is made with fresh chicken hot off the grill, a rich marinade of seared morita peppers and ground achiote, balanced with a splash of pineapple for the right amount of heat. Chipotle’s Chicken al Pastor is where fire meets flavor and available only for a limited time,” the website explains.

The Chicken al Pastor fans shared their excitement on Chipotle’s Instagram page.

“Will you be my valentine Chicken Al pastor?” Someone asked.

“WE SO BACKKKKKKKKKKK,” another person wrote.

“Yesssssssss so happy. Thank you for bringing it back, a fan cheered.

“I need to be very clear and very sincere: bringing Chicken Al Pastor back was not just a menu decision. It was an act of kindness,” a fan wrote. “So thank you—for listening, for understanding the people, and for bringing back something that clearly belongs. Please know this: I will not waste this second chance. I will order it proudly; I will recommend it aggressively; I will mourn deeply when it’s gone again.”
