Traveler Finds Abandoned 3-Month-Old Puppy In Airport Restroom, Then Sees Heartbreaking Note About Abuse.

A traveler at the McCarran Airport in Las Vegas, got a huge surprise this weekend when she found a puppy in the women's restroom. The pup-- a 3-month-old Chihuahua mix-- came with a heartbreaking note, explaining why he'd been left behind. According to the handwritten note, his name is Chewy, and his original owner was the victim of an abusive relationship. She didn't want to leave Chewy behind, but she had "no other option."
Hi! I’m Chewy! My owner was in an abusive relationship and couldn’t afford me to get on the flight. She didn’t want to leave me with all her heart, but she has no other option. My ex-boyfriend kicked my dog when we were fighting and he has a big knot on his head. He probably needs a vet. I love Chewy sooo much – please love and take care of him. Xoxoxoxo
The woman who found Chewy alerted authorities, and he's since been relocated to Connor and Millie's Dog Rescue. The rescue group posted Chewy's story, and it has since gone viral! The page has been posting frequent updates on the now-happy little guy. Connor and Millie's Dog Rescue let Chewy's fans know that he is being fostered and is up for adoption. The group has been flooded with application from families hoping to adopt the sweet pup. As they sort through all the applications, the group hopes Chewy's story will open peoples' eyes up to the plight of dogs caught in the middle of domestic disputes. They're encouraging those who are touched by Chewy's tale to consider rescuing or fostering one of the many dogs in his situation. As far as Chewy goes, he is in good health and taking full advantage of his second chance at life! Share to spread a smile!
