Carol Burnett Shared a Clip of Tim Curry from ‘Annie’
Along with the video, Carol Burnett shared sweet words bout Tim Curry.
“We had such a wonderful time working together on ‘Annie.’ Nobody could play lovable villains better than he could. He was a dear friend. I was blessed to know him,” Carol wrote.
The clip of Carol Burnett, Tim Curry, and Bernadette Peters singing and dancing to “Easy Street” was a core memory for so many people who loved seeing the clip.
“Most people probably think first of Rocky Horror when they think of Tim Curry, but my mind always goes to Rooster,” a fan shared.
This person agreed, writing, “As a kid watching Annie over and over on my VCR, I had no idea how incredibly iconic this trio of performers was! I just knew they were amazing, and funny, and a bit menacing. Thanks for the great memories, Mr. Curry. Rest easy.”
Actress Melissa Peterman shared a similar sentiment. “Oh how I adored him and his work. He was so brilliantly funny and present in every role. And the best Rooster for sure. He was wonderful to watch in everything he did.”
We’re sure Tim Curry and Dolly Parton are having one heck of a celebration in heaven right about now.
