Then there is the Great Salt Lake, the largest saltwater lake in the Western Hemisphere. This Gorgeous Sunset Over the Great Salt Lake in Utah is Sure to Take Your Breath Away
“Still my favorite sunset ever,” Cassie writes in the caption of her post. “I’ve never seen one shift colors like this before… absolute magic.”
The magic behind a sunset has to do with a scientific phenomenon called light scattering. Essentially, this refers to the way that sunlight interacts with air molecules and particles. Because these factors vary every single day, the exact colors we see are always different. Even the clouds, or lack thereof, can affect our view. And, as we see in Cassie’s video, so does a body of water!
