After welcoming her first child, Kayla Sullivan traded in chasing stories as a television news reporter for one of the toughest jobs on earth: Full time mom! After a particularly harrowing trip to her local Olive Garden, Kayla decided the best way to find some humor in the situation was to do what she does best and report on the story. She dressed up, put on some makeup and did her hair, and grabbed a plastic toy microphone to deliver a “stand up” exactly like the ones she used to do on the nightly news. Except, instead of reporting on criminal activity, she detailed her son’s public meltdown over “chechup.”
“My son is a 2-year-old terrorist who held me hostage at the Olive Garden earlier today,” she intoned in a perfect newswoman voice. Her delivery is spot on, and every parent can relate to what she went through in that restaurant! The video has been viewed more than 3.1 million times so far, and Kayla is posting updates as fast as she can make them.
