Bonnie Pitman hadn’t seen her son, David Gelles, or her granddaughter Franny in 14 months due to the pandemic. So when David and Franny decided to surprise “Nana” for her 75th birthday, she got the gift of a lifetime!
In a video, we see Bonnie sitting at her desk working when she notices someone out of the corner of her eye. She suddenly exclaims, “David!” and then, “Franny!”
The sweet grandma buries her face in her hands, unable to believe this moment is finally real after being apart for so long!
As Bonnie continues to repeat, “I can’t believe this,” 7-year-old Franny runs over and gives her nana a huge embrace. Bonnie bursts into tears in the most beautiful, heartfelt reaction that David or Franny could have ever hoped for.
As Bonnie told CNN, “My heart exploded!”
