Blind Prom

Prom season is upon us, and it’s a night that some students dream about for years. Girls scour the racks for the most beautiful dresses. Then, the boys show up dapper in suits and tuxedos for their dates. The Georgia Academy for the Blind in Macon recently hosted its annual prom night, and the students truly had the time of their lives. The school posted multiple videos of the dance on social media. In each one, the students are smiling, dancing, and enjoying one of the best nights of the year.

The Georgia Academy for the Blind ‘s Prom Went Viral

It’s not a surprise that a video from the Georgia Academy for the Blind caught the attention of many on social media. The students from the school, enjoying the same rite of passage as any other high school student, warmed many hearts.

“I say without sarcasm, bless their hearts. As much as it brings a tear to my eye, this is more of the content I want from this page,” someone commented.

“I have a friends who passed recently , he was a teach for the school of the blind in NC . Even after he retired he still showed up for them. But one thing that stuck out to me is that he said there are levels of blindness and not everyone who’s blind is completed lights out,” a comment explains.

“Congrats to all these amazing students! They will remember this day! The smiles on their faces bring joy to me!” A follower shared.

“Bless. I do a lot of work with Atlanta School for the Deaf. This is just as wholesome,” another person added.

Being blind doesn’t mean these kids can’t enjoy their prom. Just seeing them having fun brought smiles and tears to people’s eyes. This is the good stuff we all need more of in our lives.
