Blind Autistic Girl Stops Strangers In Tracks With Stunningly Beautiful Piano Skills.

Crowd watching Lucy play piano

True talent has a way of peeling back outward challenges to allow our inner light to shine.

There is a public piano in a train station in Birmingham, England, where anyone can sit and play a tune for passersby. Channel 4 features the instrument on their talent show, “The Piano,” hosted by Claudia Winkleman and judged by Mika, a pop star, and Lang Lang, a concert pianist.

In the episode below, we’re introduced to a 13-year-old girl named Lucy. Lucy is blind, autistic, and has significant learning, social, and sensory difficulties. In spite of her differences, Lucy took to the piano lessons offered at her school like a fish to water! Once she took a seat at the public piano, the teen’s delicately nuanced performance of Chopin had strangers stopping in their tracks to listen in awe.

Watch Lucy reminding the crowd never to assume someone’s level of talent by their diagnoses, and be sure to share.
