Sometimes a viral video comes along that leaves us rolling with laughter… and scratching our heads at the same time.

Occasionally, there’s just no reason why some things are funny – they just are. Case in point, a video by French comedy duo Merguez Studio that’s taking over social media because it’s just so hilarious… but also incredibly weird!

Eric and David are the funny guys behind Merguez Studio. The pair roared onto the YouTube video scene with their viral “Blanket Dance” videos.

What’s a blanket dance, you may wonder? Well, it’s hard to explain, but imagine taking a blanket and sewing it to another blanket, creating a giant blanket pocket. Sounds toasty, right? Sure – and it gets even cozier when you start doing energetic dance moves in it.

First, we see Eric standing in a sparsely-decorated kitchen wearing his, um… blanket suit?

As goofy doo-wop music starts to play, Eric bursts into a frenetic dance routine that really highlights the ridiculous blanket he’s wearing. When his roommate, David, comes in, viewers assume he thinks his friend has lost his mind…

Until Dave runs back into the kitchen wearing his own blanket suit and joins Eric.

Looking like a cross between human Pop Tarts and flying squirrels, these two guys proceed to get their freak on in a variety of different settings. They dance outside, in malls, and even in someone’s bedroom.

We basically have no idea what’s going on here, but it’s undeniably hilarious! Some things just defy logic.

You have to see this for yourself – just look at these two silly guys go! We’re guessing this is well on its way to becoming a meme. (Also, your new favorite animated gif to randomly text a friend when they’re least expecting it!)
