Cutie patootie alert: Country singer Blake Shelton has given the most adorable, heartwarming speech of all time to his wife, Gwen Stefani!
On October 19, 2023, Gwen Stefani received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Blake gave a speech at the ceremony and boy, was it a tear-jerker!
He started by discussing getting to know Gwen on the set of The Voice in 2014. Blake was drawn to her down-to-earth nature and fell more in love as he learned more about her.
Then, Blake went on to speak about her priorities. He highlighted that she was, at the time of meeting her, “a mother first,” and echoed that she continues to be family-oriented.
Blake moved on to admiring her artistic pursuits.
“Today it’s nice to see her honored for her side project, which is being one of the biggest stars in the world,” he doted.
“In my opinion, Gwen is the perfect person to receive a star on the Walk of Fame. From music, television and movies to fashion and beauty, she has risen to the top over and over again with her unique style that has made the world fall in love with her,” he said. “Not as much as me though.”
His love was clear in his speech to Gwen. She later commented that, while he’s generally a bit of a playful soul, his speech really touched her.
Then, of course, Blake took to Instagram to continue the love fest, posting a picture of the family.
“If anyone deserves a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it’s Gwen, because she has been, she is and she will always be a shining star!” commented one fan on the post.
