Bindi Irwin is celebrating four years of marriage with her high school sweetheart, Chandler Powell.
Two days before her wedding anniversary, the daughter of the late Steve Irwin posted a throwback photo of her and Chandler. In it, the couple is dressed for a formal event. He’s donning a white tuxedo, and she’s wearing a sparkling white cocktail dress. Chandler is holding Bindi in his arms, and the two are smiling sweetly.
“I was 17, you were 19 when this photo was taken, nine years ago,” she wrote. “Falling in love with you was immediate. Loving you more every day is utterly effortless.”
“All these years later and every time you smile at me, my heart skips a beat. 🤍 On March 25th we celebrate Grace’s third birthday and our fourth wedding anniversary,” she added. “Here’s to a lifetime of love.”
Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell Welcomed Their Daughter on Their First Wedding Anniversary
Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell met in 2013 when Chandler, who was a professional wakeboarder at the time, visited the Australia Zoo, where the Irwin family worked, after competing in an event nearby.
The two secretly dated for over two years before Bindi announced the relationship while she was competing on Season 21 of Dancing With the Stars.
Chandler, originally from Florida, eventually moved to Australia to be with Bindi, and he proposed in 2019. The couple said “I do” during a ceremony at Australia Zoo in 2020. They became parents when Grace Warrior was born on their first anniversary.
Today, both Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell are working for the Australia Zoo along with Bindi’s mother, Terri Irwin, and brother, Robert Irwin.
