Bringing home a new baby can cause a lot of big emotions for siblings. Sometimes, they can’t wait for the new baby to come home. And other times, it’s hard for parents to get the older kids on board. And then you have the siblings who not only love the new baby but also covet them, wanting to keep them all for their own. That’s honestly our favorite kind. There’s nothing better than a big brother or sister who feels totally in charge and ready to make their new best friend feel right at home.

Big Sisters Know Just What to Do
We don’t know what it is about being a big sister that brings out all the sass, but plenty of girls feel right at home in a mothering role. A dad posted a conversation with his toddler on Instagram after bringing home her new sister, and we love it. The 3-year-old big sister told her dad not to touch the baby because “she’s mine.” The toddler added that she bought the baby with her mommy’s credit card, and dad essentially needed to buzz off.
Some people had similar stories about bringing home new babies.
“My brother is 3 1/2 years older. He said to Mom when I was born, ‘What do I do with her? She’s too small’” A follower wrote.
Others just love seeing the big sister in action.
“Love her pigtails with that attitude,” someone wrote.
“Awe…She knows she’s telling a fib, but she’s in it for the long haul and is not backing down. She loves ‘this baby,’” another person added.

This baby is pretty darn lucky to have such a fun big sister. We have a feeling they’ll be double trouble in no time.
