As the old saying goes, “when you love what you do, you never have to work a day in your life.”
Take one glance at the faces of Nils and Bianca, a pair of full-time swing dance performers, instructors, and choreographers, and their love for their chosen field is clear as day. The moment they stepped onto the dance floor at the Rock That Swing Festival 2023 in Berlin, Germany, the couple grinned from ear-to-ear… and didn’t stop.
Bianca and Nils have both been dancing since they were children, but became a duo when Bianca left her native Italy and moved to Sweden, where she met Nils. They’ve been dancing together ever since, and you can tell by their perfectly synchronized movements that they go together like peanut butter and jelly.
Check out their semi-improvisational performance to “My Girl,” written by Smokey Robinson and sung by Otis Redding. Bianca and Nils say they practiced this dance a lot during the pandemic, mostly in their kitchen!
