“BGT” Judge Conspires With Mom, Nanny To Get Tween Audition — And A Bigger Surprise!

Some people were just made to perform in live theater!

When Olivia Lynes of Bath, England was just 2 years old, her mother noticed she could learn songs easily and had a lovely singing voice. They bought her lessons with a vocal coach, who confirmed the child’s burgeoning talent and nurtured her desire to someday star in a play in London’s famed West End.

Olivia is now 11 years old, and her mother and nanny secretly sent videos of her singing to “Britain’s Got Talent.” Judge Amanda Holden personally surprised Olivia with news that she had an audition the very next day!

Olivia didn’t shy away from the task at hand. She chose to sing “Defying Gravity,” an epic ballad from “Wicked” made famous on Broadway by Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel. Even with huge shoes to fill, Olivia knocked it out of the ballpark!

After earning a standing ovation and the approval of four very impressed-looking judges, Olivia learned Amanda had one more surprise in store for her: a Golden Buzzer!
