On Saturday, Beyoncé experienced quite a chilling malfunction during the concert. If you’re familiar with her show, you probably know she found an interesting way to incorporate a red vehicle. In order to get closer to more fans, this iconic singer takes a ride on a suspended car. For most of the shows, this has happened without incident. This time, however, there was a bit of a hiccup. See for yourself in the video below.

@abc7la (06/28/25) Frightening moments for superstar #Beyonce at her concert in #Houston Saturday night. Something malfunctioned as she rode in a red Cadillac suspended in the air while performing her song "16 Carriages" during the concert. The car was eventually brought down. #Beyoncé then took the stage, thanking fans for their patience, saying "If ever I fall, I know y'all will catch me." Beyoncé Concert in Houston, Texas Takes a Scary Turn When a Dangerous Malfunction Occurs

Even when the vehicle started to lean, Beyoncé managed to stay as calm as possible. She simply repeated “stop” until the folks in charge of moving the vehicle were able to gently place her back on solid ground. Needless to say, this was one scary moment for the singer and everyone else at the concert.

Since that harrowing moment, a publicist for the superstar has confirmed that a “technical mishap caused the flying car, a prop Beyoncé uses to circle the stadium and see her fans up close, to tilt. She was quickly lowered and no one was injured. The show continued without incident.”

Despite how scary this situation was for Beyoncé, she didn’t skip a beat. (Plus she’s cracking jokes about it online, as seen in the video above.) Directly after the incident, she continued her song anyway, improvising the performance sans vehicle. She even managed to share a heartfelt sentiment: “If I ever fall, I know y’all will catch me.”
