his lasting legacy,” Amy shares in a statement made on Carmen’s website.
Over the course of decades, Carmen truly did leave a lasting impact on the music industry. It started with his role as frontman for The Raspberries. From there, he had a hit solo career in the 70s and 80s that continues to have an impact on music today.

“I just heard the news that my lifelong friend and former client, Eric Carmen has passed away,” Carmen’s manager, David Spero says. “His talents were world renowned and his legacy as a songwriter is known throughout the industry. His songs were done by everyone from Celine Dion to Hank Williams Jr. He will be missed. RIP Eric!”
