Back in 2018, there rose an Internet star named Narnia, a cat with a unique face and the most striking blue eyes you’ll ever see.
The gorgeous feline lives in France with breeder Stephanie Jimenez and his “darling” Bella, another beautiful cat with stunning features. As it turns out, the two animals are parents several times over, and their many kittens are nothing short of adorable!
Their most recent little ones, Roswell and Renesmée, were born in March 2020. Renesmée is a gray kitten that looks like a floofy version of her mom (without the split-colored face), while Roswell is a striped charcoal ball of fluff.
Before Roswell and Renesmée came Prada, Phoenix, twins Orfée and Ozanna, Rose, Polaris, and finally Phantom. They’re all a wonderful mix of their unforgettable parents, and we can’t stop taking in the cuteness!
What makes Narnia and Bella’s kittens even more special is that all but two of them inherited their dad’s blue eyes.
“It is very rare,” Stephanie told Bored Panda. “There are only a few cats in the world that are fully colored and have blue eyes. This is a new gene called ‘ice.'”
As for the genes that give Narnia his unusual appearance, Stephanie says it’s still “a mystery.”
For a long time, she assumed he was a chimera, which is the result of two non-twin embryos fusing together to create one cat. However, Stephanie said, “A geneticist performed tests and [found] Narnia has only one DNA.”
That just makes him all the more unique!
