Man Goes From Scraggly & Unkempt To Silver Fox In Transformative Makeover.

They say time heals all wounds, but when it comes to the loss of a family member, that isn’t always true. In the case of this story, time… and a good shave and haircut helped tremendously.

On an episode of “The Rachael Ray Show,” Rachael introduced us to Kevin, a man who was hiding some serious good lucks under many years’ worth of hair and beard growth. Kevin had been married to his wife, Toni, for 30 years… but it had been a long time since she’d seen him looking the way he did when they first met. With the help of celebrity stylist Stacey London, all of that was about to change.

Kevin explained that he had stopped cutting his hair shortly after losing his beloved mother to cancer. He’d helped her shave the last of her hair, which had thinned and fallen out from her chemotherapy treatments, and the experience had a lasting effect on him.

After his mother died, Kevin donated his long hair to Locks Of Love, an organization that accepts hair donations in order to make wigs for children suffering from hair loss due to cancer treatments. After that, he just let his hair grow. And grow. And grow.

In spite of his long gray hair and white, grizzly Santa Claus beard, you could see the handsome mature gentleman lurking underneath! Stacey could not wait to get started… in fact, she decided to take matters into her own hands, right then and there.

Putting Kevin’s hair into a ponytail, she made the first cut.

When Toni saw Kevin’s amazing new look, her eyes just about burst out of their sockets! He looks like a cross between Robin Williams (that twinkle in his eye!) and Jeff Bridges.

Along with his beard trim and haircut, Kevin also got a new wardrobe update that does not include ratty T-shirts.

He looks so happy, and we’re happy for him! Watch the video below, and be sure to share this clip to spread some smiles.
