Country Stars Sing “Angels Among Us” For Kids At St. Jude & It’ll Move You To Tears.

One of the best things about being famous is the ability to use your platform for a greater good. That could be anything from raising funds for UNICEF to supporting children in Africa to fighting for human rights in forgotten countries around the world.

Last year, American Idol breakout and country music superstar Scotty McCreery used his star power to raise awareness about childhood cancer, which affected more than 15,000 children last year.

During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September, Scotty McCreery joined Memphis, Tennessee-based St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in its efforts to treat pediatric cancer.

But he didn’t stop there.

This past Christmas, Scotty, Carly Pearce, Lucy Hale and a whole host of country musicians covered the country song “Angels Among Us” in a partnership with Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country, which also donated $25,000 to the hospital.

And if the song’s lyrics aren’t enough to bring tears to your eyes, just watch the intensely emotional video. It shows Scotty, Carly and the rest of the crew working side-by-side with some of the young patients at St. Jude.

The video is a big hit with everyone who’s seen in, with many commenting that seeing the huge smiles spread across the kids’ faces added an especially poignant element:
