Alan Jackson Makes Heartbreaking Announcement During Tour Stop

Alan Jackson’s sold a staggering 60 million records.  At 66, Alan’s had a fantastic career and played live in front of millions of fans.  But on a recent tour stop, he made a shocking announcement. After years of battling Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, Alan Jackson will no longer tour. His last live show will take place in Nashville, the home of country music.

Alan Jackson Made The Announcement During A Show In Milwaukee

According to Parade, Alan told the crowd at the Milwaukee stop of his Last Call: One More for the Road Tour, this would be his final tour.

“Y’all may have heard that I’m kinda winding down, and, in fact, this is my last road show of my career,” Alan Jackson said.

“Y’all gonna make me tear up out here,” Alan said “But I will say, this is my last road show out here, but we’re planning on doing a big finale show in Nashville next summer sometime,” he announced. “It just felt like I had to end it all where it all started. And that’s in Nashville, Tennessee. Music City.”

Alan thanked his fans for their support during his career.

Per Today, Alan Jackson opened up about Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. He inherited the condition from his father.

“It’s been affecting me for years, and it’s getting more and more obvious,” Alan Jackson said. “And I know I’m stumbling around on stage and now I’m having a little trouble balancing even in front of the microphone, and so I just feel very uncomfortable, and I just want people to know that’s why I look like I do.”
