Akim Camara wasn’t even three years old the first time he played violin in front of thousands of people. The young wunderkind was introduced by the world famous Andre Rieu before taking the stage with the cutest tux we’ve ever seen… what followed next was incredible. Andre told the story of discovering Akim shortly before he stepped on stage…
“Dear ladies and gentlemen, a few months ago, in December to be precise, we had a Christmas concert in Berlin. Afterwards, a little boy came up to me. A two-year-old named Akim.”

“That is not unusual, we often have many small children in the audience. They sit on their mother’s lap, all fall asleep by the second act and wake up at the end with full diapers and have the time of their lives.”

“Not Akim though. Akim stayed awake the entire time and said to his mother, ‘I want to play violin too. Like Andre.'”
Less than a year later, Akim stood on stage next to his hero and played a completely memorized piece in front of thousands. It was the start of Akim’s prodigal history, and it all started with a concert.
