In an adorable announcement before takeoff, a Southwest Airlines pilot was thrilled to say that a familiar face would be joining the team: his own daughter! Captain Johnson proudly introduced the young woman, now his first officer, to his passengers in the sweetest way. Everyone was touched by the announcement, quickly erupting into cheers. The pilot’s daughter looked pretty moved, as well!
“I’ve been here for almost 25 years, and not once have I flown with somebody that I’ve known for their entire life,” he said in his speech. “So I’d like to introduce you to one of Southwest’s newest first officers, and my daughter, Marian.”
