Abuelito Lights Up When Granddaughter Helps Him Bowl For The 1st Time Ever.

a woman high-fiving 90-year-old abuelito who smiles as he sits in his wheelchair after bowling.

Looks like Abuelito’s first time bowling was a success!

During his 20s, Drea’s abuelito had a spinal cord injury that changed his life forever. He was never able to get the kind of guidance or therapy needed to help him recover so, instead, he managed to find his own methods of living with his disability. Drea took note of this growing up, and it greatly inspired her.

Now, she’s a physical therapist (PT) who helps patients with spinal cord injuries! Because of this career choice, she’s been able to help countless patients just like her abuelito. She’s even been able to help him as well! One of his recent milestones had him bowling for the first time in his 90 years of life. With just a little bit of help, he was bowling on his own in no time!

“I am so proud of him,” Drea wrote on Instagram. “He was hesitant at first but I’m a very convincing granddaughter and PT.”

Watch Abuelito become a bowling champ before your very eyes below, and don’t forget to share.
