Woman Finds Vase At Goodwill, But Is Truly Stunned By What She Discovers Beneath The Paint!

Close up on a gold vase

Shopping at thrift stores is not the same as shopping at a retail establishment. Thrifting tends to take a lot more time and effort. You won’t find something you love with every visit, but the joy in finding a hidden gem is unlike anything else! Callie Rose Bedford recently had one of these moments when she discovered an interesting vase while perusing Goodwill.

At first glance, the vase may not seem like much: The entire thing was covered in an uneven gold color. But Callie saw beyond the surface of the vase. She could tell that it “looked a little weird,” and she wanted to investigate. So, after she brought it home, she washed it. Nothing could prepare her for what she’d find! Watch the video below to experience this dramatic reveal.

Most of us have seen this blue-and-white pattern before. Although it is still loved by many, it’s not as widely available — at least not in the United States. So, when Callie realized what kind of vase she had actually purchased, she was floored in the very best way. And she’s not the only one! This video went viral, and folks from all over are expressing how lucky Callie is for nabbing this vase.

“This would change my life. I’ve been looking for a vase like that for YEARS and they’re always either plastic or $500” someone shared. Another person added, “Okay so I need to borrow this for the wedding… SO JEALOUS.”

As the commenter above pointed out, there’s something oddly poetic about this beautiful vase being restored. Sure, the person who changed the vase gave it to Goodwill because they didn’t want it anymore. But the new owner loves it exactly as it is… amazing! Who knew thrifting could get so deep?
