Carnie Wilson Shares Beautiful Message For Brian Wilson After He’s Laid To Rest

Legendary co-founder of The Beach Boys, Brian Wilson, passed away in June. He left an indelible mark on music and touched the lives of millions. In the days following his death, tributes poured in for Brian, thanking him for creating the soundtrack of their lives. Brian left behind a family and friends who adored him. His daughter, Carnie Wilson of Wilson Phillips fame, shared a sweet message on Instagram about her dad on August 6.

“Today we laid my Daddy to rest. It was incredibly difficult to see that happen, but at the same time it gave more closure and more of a feeling of restful peace,” she wrote.

Brian Wilson Is Still A Huge Part Of Carnie Wilson’s Life

Carnie Wilson misses Brian Wilson terribly and shared that the last eight weeks have been extremely difficult. But she knows her dad is with her.

“There’s so many signs that he gives me every day and I know that he’s around …he can hear me and he can see me. He makes that apparent. I’m so grateful for this,” she shared. “Today we had a couple of monarch butterflies that just would not leave the site. It was comforting and beautiful.”

But like anyone grieving the profound loss of a parent, Carnie Wilson’s emotions get the best of her from time to time. She’s relying on those close to her to help get through the hard days.

Carnie Wilson concluded her post with a message of gratitude to fans and Brian Wilson for enriching her life.

“Thank you to all the beautiful loving and supportive fans out there for honoring him. We share this together. God knows what we’d be without him. Love, Carnie,” she wrote.

“We are so lucky to exist at the same time as Brian Wilson,” a comment reads.

This person put it so eloquently.

“His music is woven through us all~ it’s eternal & ever-present,” they wrote.
