“Adopted The Most Depressed Cat In The Shelter Today To Help Me With Being Depressed”

When a young woman adopted a depressed cat, it took a few days before they began bonding.

Animals suffer from depression just like humans do, but they don’t know how to ask for help. TikTok user Javailin decided to adopt a cat to help her overcome depression. She looked for and adopted the most depressed cat in the shelter. She hopes that they can overcome their depression together.

Violet is an adorable tuxedo kitty. On her first day in her new home, she was shy. She stayed in her transport box for a while. When she began to explore, she remained in quiet areas. Her posture was scrunched or curled into a ball. Her new mom is taking things slow, knowing that when you’ve adopted a depressed cat, it may take them time to bond.

On day two, Violet allowed some cuddles and appeared comfortable with her new mom. She also discovered bird videos and was able to relax under a blanket. Her body posture began to relax a little, and she was stretching out more. Still hesitant, she hadn’t eaten or used her litter box yet. Javailin did manage to coax the cat into eating a kitty treat.

By the third day, Violet allowed herself to start bonding with Javailin. Violet woke her mom up early, cuddling next to her head. The cat also cleaned Javailin’s arm with her sandpapery tongue. After several days, Violet is more aloof and moving around the house. Javailin got out some bubbles, and Violet had fun chasing and popping them.

The internet is already in love with Violet. Javailin’s fans have been sending gifts, so they had an unboxing party. For more updates on Violet, follow Javailin on TikTok. They have added a link to Violet’s wishlist to their TikTok profile.
