Most horses follow the direction of their rider. On occasion, with a seasoned and well-trained horse, they will be given free rein to make a choice. When Cadillac was given a choice, he ran like the wind. Although the rider had expected to stay on one trail, her horse had a different idea. The horse went to a different trail, where a little foal appeared, looking lost and in need of rescue.

Horse and rider continued, with the little animal following close behind. Not knowing where the foal came from, the rider decided it was better to allow it to follow them to their ranch. They had no clue how long the foal had been following them, but it was apparent that the baby horse felt they might provide safety.
With the foal beside him, Cadillac settled into a relaxed gait and headed for home. When the horse and rider arrived, they knew the rescued foal needed food, which meant nursing at that stage of development. They introduced it to their small herd of mares, hoping that one would care for it. The curious mares raced to see the foal.
One of the mares adopted the hungry foal. The foal is quickly settling into his adoptive home and has become besties with Cadillac, the horse that rescued him. The rancher asked around to see if any of the nearby ranches were missing a foal. No one has come forward so far, but the rescued foal is safe. A second video shows the foal playing.
The rescue foal is now a member of its new herd of horses. Fans are requesting that the videos become a series, so installment three is now available.
