When a territorial goose moves into the neighborhood, things can get dicey for existing residents. Canada Geese can be extraordinarily territorial if they have a nest of goslings in the area. They tend to nest in grass and small shrubs around small ponds or at the edge of woodlands. While knowing that doesn’t make it any easier for these trapped students, at least they know it won’t be forever.

And now, we laugh because that is hilarious. The goose is protecting a wide area, terrorizing people on both sides of the road. He is merciless. The OP, Jory Harris, writes that they have been unable to leave their student housing for three days. Given this goose’s aggressiveness, it is easy to understand why the neighborhood feels terrorized.
First, it sends the students scurrying back to the house, then it heads across the street to herd the neighbors back into their homes. A divide-and-conquer strategy might work normally, but this goose seems too quick.

The camera caught one pedestrian meandering slowly on the sidewalk across the street. The person in the white hoodie looks like they might be trying to sneak by. It might have worked, but they sped up their pace and attracted the goose’s attention. With a direct attack to the back of the head, the poor pedestrian went down like a sack of rotten potatoes.
No injuries occurred during this wild Canada goose’s wacky neighborhood rampage. Toss some cracked corn to the goose daily to get the animal accustomed to free food. After a few days, you should be able to toss a handful and run for the hills while he eats. Distraction may be your only hope.
Good luck, and please share.
