TikTok user Shelby Hoefling couldn’t wait to reveal her pregnancy to a very special someone in her life: her 98-year-old grandma! In a heartwarming video, the mom-to-be captured the elderly woman’s sweet reaction to her life-changing announcement. Grandma couldn’t have had a more perfect reaction to the pregnancy reveal!
“I think that’s marvelous,” she said, eagerly waving her hands. “I’m so excited!”
As you can guess from some of the content on Shelby’s TikTok account, she and her grandma have enjoyed a wonderfully close relationship. The expecting mom often shares special moments with her “Gma” online, and other social media users have fallen in love with the adorable duo. In one particularly beautiful video, Shelby films her grandmother singing to the baby in her belly!
Sadly, Shelby’s grandma has since passed away. The TikToker posted a sweet video in memory of the elderly woman, recalling how deeply she missed her departed husband. While Gma’s family is surely feeling her loss, her granddaughter writes that “There is peace in knowing she gets to be with him again.”
